Isn't the Bayonetta fanbase divided because of the Wii U exclusivity?

I think it will bomb because most Wii U owners are too young to be allowed to buy that game. Maybe it will sell around 0.5 M max.

I think it might bomb just because its a 3rd party game on a Nintendo console, where only thier 1st party games really do well in sales.

seeing as mostly 'hardcore' Nintendo fans were buying the consoles in the first place, I'd say.... not.

But we could use values that could really make up an argument:

ZombiU sold ~0.5M as an example of a successfull M rated game on a console with a 3.5M user base
Bayonetta 1 ~ 2M is the following of the original

So yeah: I could see the potential of approx. 0.5 M being sold. And additionally I could see a rise in Wii U sales

By the time Bayonetta comes around, the Wii U's sales will have boosted up considerably. I think it'll sell over a million at least.

Probably bomb but who knows.

I missed Bayonetta when it first released but bought it very cheap for my 360 a few weeks ago and well, tbh its an awful game. Very very repetitive and boring, I couldn't play it for more than 10-14 mins. It was dreadful :(

What were the combined sales of Bayo1 on 360 and ps3?

Find that number, then decrease it by quite a bit, then you'll have a rought estimate of Bayo2 sales.

Bomb for several reasons.

1) Thirdpraty game on a Nintendo consoles, they don't tend to sell so well compared to the first party.
2) A sequel to a game which Nintendo fans might not hae played before, I dunno about you, but I just don't like jumping into a series midways.
3) An Alienated original fanbase.
4) The low console sales, have they passed 4 Millions worldwide yet?
5) Original game sales weren't so great hence why noone else wanted to fund the sequel.
