Good Size TV to play Wii U in the Room?

#1coolguy_23Posted 7/13/2013 11:21:23 AM
The living TV is out of the question since it is occupied all the time. I have a medium size room, What is the minimum size tv I should get that isn't too small.

I say you can't go wrong with a 73" DLP.

A maximum of 32" anything bigger will make you dizzy.
A minimum of 24" cause the text will get hard to read if you sit far from the tv.

Never ever look up at a tv, doing so will result in deformed gamer face syndrome. metazim53

What silly answers, surly if you just want a small extra TV then 25" or 32" would be fine? I remember for cathode ray tube TVs that was big.

I can't and won't say anything about anyone else's post, but mine is completely serious, especially in comparison to CRT televisions.

You can get Mitsubishi DLP's off craigslist for around a hundo, needing only a $50 bulb replacement.

I'd say 32-40in is ideal size.

anything smaller and text might be a problem if you sit a long way away from it, and anything bigger isn't really worth using.. lots of uneducated people assume bigger is always better, but when it comes to HDTV, thats not the case at all, in fact over a certain size and the image will degrade.

I'm using an old 42'' Sharp Aquos from 2007. It's only 720p which is unfortunate for the Wii U, but Wii games look gorgeous and bright on it. I play a lot of Smash Bros. Brawl and my friends prefer to play on my tv for some reason.
