It's EA going to support the WiiU like this?

When 360 came out MS charged $50 for all their first party launch titles. However the 3rd parties got together and said we need to charge $60 so from then on it was $60.

Have EA confirmed this? Because this is GAME. The only store in the country that still charges RRP on their games

But wouldn't surprise me if this was true. EA do need to get back the money they'll be losing from the online pass thing.

No doubt the Sheeple will be able to justify paying the extra for their 'new' sports titles year after year. They already manage it so what's an extra fiver or so?

I have seen these articles around the net. . .

Look, people in different regions of the world pay different amounts. The value of currency, cost of living, etc. all play into this, so it isn't reasonable to perform a 1:1 currency comparison. Heck $10 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi is worth a lot more than $10 in NY, NY.

However, I will not be surprised if games rise $5 to 10 in North America. The games reportedly cost 10-15% to make. A company is not going to eat that, but pass it on to consumers. With added production costs and keeping the same price, that means selling more copies of a game to generate the same revenue.

Well if games were going to go to 80$. Nintendo would be last man standing. Never going to pay 80 for a game, ever. They'll be 60 still apparently. I'm good.

only sony and ms fan boys would be dumb enough to pay 80 dollars for a rehashed sports game... omg updated rosters must buy

EA also makes Mass Effect and Dragon Age.
Funny how you make fun of people buying rehashes when nintendrones rebuy Mario and Zelda every gen.
