Index has confirmed they are auctioning off their properties next week. So we'll find out what happens to Atlus next week I guess.

Atlus has also gone out telling the fans that all ongoing project will go on unchanged.
Which could mean that Index will keep Atlus and not put the developers up for sale at all.
I don't think Atlus themselves would be so sure if they were going to go up on sale, with the risks of being bought up by Sony/nintendo/MS.

...or if they didn't have a deal worked out with one of them beforehand.
I'm not exactly "normal." Hope this isn't a problem.

No no, they went out with that statemet fairly recently on twitter. Anyways way after smtxfe was revealed to the public. So I'm pretty sure they mean that they mean that neither Nintendo exclusives nor Playstation exclusives would be affected.

The question is thoo, who's getting Persona 5 in the first place? Is it Plastation as in the past? or are they planning to move it to the Wii U?

The way things are looking, it seems likely that nintendo will get them.

It's based on wishthinking.

Anyways lets just wait and see what happens. It's not even certain Atlus will be put up for auction at all. Which could turn out for the best. Hopefully it'd turn out for the best for fans o all sides. Nintendo get to enjoy their atlus games and Playstation fans gets to enjoy their games.
