Is there a reason as to why there is no news whether GCN games will hit the vc?

After experiencing the painfully slow (and crappy) releases on the VC, I'd say wait for the WiiU 2. And for those who are gonna say Earthbound with "little girl screams"...not everyone enjoys playing 20 year old game, no matter how good it may be.

I greatly prefer it being slow. Otherwise, I'd just end up with a bunch of bought games that I will never play. It's the Steam dilemma.

But when one game I want to play is released every couple of weeks, it gets me excited and I actually play it.

Controls are my best guess. Hopefully they're going to release an adapter to use GameCube controllers, otherwise some games will be nigh unplayable, most notably Super Mario Sunshine.

I think they can work around sunshine with L/ZL and R/ZR

There's no need now.

I don't remember, as it has been a very long time since I played the game, but would it be possible to change the water gun thing to a thumb stick click to turn it on and use the stick to adjust how far the spray goes?

It might seem like a workable idea, but the differences in water pressure are too great, and are too important to the gameplay, to be relegated to only those triggers.

Maybe they will wait until after SSBU and release a gamecube controller adapter with that game? (I know there are third party adapters but Nintendo isn't going to release a game expecting people to use third party equipment.)
