I think this is Nintendo's last gen with consoles

Most people aren't taking them seriously and considering the Wii U as "next gen." They're looking at the big boys Sony and MS as next gen while the Wii U is seen more as that console to get so you can play Mario, Zelda, etc.

Even the sales are abysmal despite getting a year long head start. The Wii sold so much more but that was mostly because the whole wagging the Wiimote thing was one step closer to the virtual reality games people have looked forward to for decades. Then it turned into a paperweight for most while they played their PS3 or 360. Wii U is already suffering the same fate before its next-gen counterparts get released.

I really do expect Nintendo to go the way of their old rival Sega when it comes to consoles. I'm not big on handhelds but I hear they have nothing to worry about in that department though, so at least they have that.

Good riddance. They should go 3rd party already. That way people don't have to pay 300 dollars to play like 3 extra games.

I don't care who blocks/ignores me. If you aren't capable of seeing an opinion you don't agree with and talking about it like a mature adult, then I don't care to deal with you anyways. Grow the **** up, it's just video games.

But what will become of their handhelds?

It's possible...

Of course, it's also possible for me to win the lottery and get struck by lightning in the same day.

It would be pretty sweet having all of Nintendo's games on their handheld for each gen instead of spread between two systems I have to buy each time. All I ever buy Nintendo's home consoles for is the exclusives anyway, I much prefer handhelds.

But I doubt it, Nintendo will probably just go back to the drawing board for more gimmicks and keep trying to recreate the success of the Wii. I wouldn't mind that either. What I loved about the Wii was that motion controls made it a very different experience from the touch screen controls of the DS. Wii U, meanwhile, is just the 3DS without 3D and spread between the TV and the controller; not as unique as the gen before it.

I'm not a gamer, I'm a Nintendrone. Here's proof I live to serve Nintendo:

They can stay exclusive.
