I'm surprised they don't even charge you $5 convenience fee...

XD at buying digital games! I would rather buy a game and have a copy with some friendly user rights and one that will be cheaper

Oh look, another topic that has been discussed to death.

Do we have any new material?

Guess you've never seen games on demand on Xbox live or PSN

Turns out I have one of Sony's lap dogs following me around on gamefaqs. If you see him, don't feed him. He has a bad temper and is easily upset :D

I'm guessing its due to a non-competition clause with retailers as every place prices the digitals the same as the store copies when they come out. Its similar to books digitals are the same as the physical.
Lets face it would stores bother stocking games if they are gonna get slaughtered in pricing by the company putting it as a download?

Exactly. Why would Nintendo, ms, Sony etc. Price games lower than retail? Retail stores would get annoyed that they are losing sales to the digital market and will then refuse to stock products from those companies. It's suicide.

aren't digital downloads supposed to mean you pay less because you can't freely share it and because the cost of selling at retail is removed from the equation? lower cost plus the convenience factor are supposed to make you want to buy digitally, right?
