With those budgets going ever higher, that bubble's gonna burst soon...

Will there be another video game industry crash during or right after this generation?

Nintendo will live on forever, even if everything crashes around them.
I'm not a gamer, I'm a Nintendrone. Here's proof I live to serve Nintendo:

No, the industry won't crash, but the companies the make big "AAA" games will most likely have a heavy loss.

Nah. This looks to be one of the most hyped gens ever goin buy sold out preorders and such. Current gen has been goin on for too long, the people are craving for new hardware. A lot of early next gen titles seem to be pretty heavy hitters (can't wait for MGS, FFXV, and KHIIi )

Sony is bleeding money out of every metaphorical organ they have.
MS refuses to acknowledge that there is a market outside of NA
Nintendo can't shake the stigma of being kiddy casual.

If ever there has been a time of a possible implosion in the industry within the past 25 years, this would be it.

I doubt it.

If anything the Indies will be there to float us games that are at least interesting enough and there will always be something somewhere playing a game.

If you mean that the AAA titles wont make the money they cost because of the bloated costs in general and every game will be a failure if it doesn't sell 10 million copies? Possibly.

I think the number of AAA games is going to completely implode as it's clear that the market can't hold up the budgets they want to put into them anymore.

For the rest of the industry? Nah.
