Releasing in march makes no sense at all.

Eh. This is best. MK7 was rushed a bit, and I think it did itself a disservice as a result.

It does when you're trying to stagger your releases.

Don't want to blow your load all at once, especially before the dreaded spring/summer drought period.

Besides, SM3DW will likely be enough to entice the numbers Nintendo wants to see for the holidays and beyond.

I just hope MK8 will have more to offer than 7. Single-player missions were sorely missed.

Agreed, I would have rushed it out to be near the 3D Mario coming in December. Those two, along with a price cut, would be the perfect setup to repeat the 3DS comeback.

I can't begin to understand the logic behind taking their time and making the game better instead of going for more profits, but I won't complain, I accept their decision.
I'm not a gamer, I'm a Nintendrone. Here's proof I live to serve Nintendo:

I don't get why you guys assume I meant a rushed game. I didn't. They should have started development earlier, or put more people on it, whatever. Mario kart in the holiday season would move wii Us like crazy.

I agree with TC. Also the game looks very far along, IMO Nintendo could be intentionally holding it back, which is a mistake.

I don't think my wallet could have handled another $60 game. There's already 4 Wii U games I want between october and decmember.
