So... best solution to playing the Wii Zelda games before WW HD hits?

#1DoramiPosted 8/17/2013 5:58:49 PM
For me, not in general. The last non-port Zelda game I played was OoT, and OoT 3D brought back the magic of the series.

Equipment:
I have no TV.

I have a monitor. It has HDMI input, speakers, and is HDCP compliant. It has VGA input. It does not have composite or component input.

I have a wiimote and nunchuck but no motion plus or wiimote plus. I have no Wii.

I have no Wii U.

Problems:
Because I have no output device for a Wii, I will need to buy an adapter if I buy a Wii to play those games. I do not know if the adapters will work with a monitor.

I an OC and do not like the idea of using a white nunchuck with a black wiimote. This means I would want to buy a nunchuck in addition to a wiimote plus. That translates to an extra $80 if I buy a Wii and eventually buy a Wii U at current MSRP prices. This makes it realistic to recover the extra investment at Black Friday/with a holiday bundle/after a price drop/if Nintendo packages the Wii U with their new battery/etc.

I do not have any interest in any Wii U game until WW HD, so the Wii U will be used strictly to play Wii and VC games.

---------------

Or maybe I should play the DS/3DS titles instead and not worry about hardware investment.

Not in quality. And the legality of it is muddy at best.

I agree that Dolphin may be the best option in this case.

Arguably the best option even after WWHD comes out.

Yeah, because getting an iso of a game you don't own is not pirating, at all.

I bet you regularly make fun of PC users for pirating or buying 1$ games on Steam too, right?

Thumbs down everybody, absolutely no buys.

You do get that it's possible to rip the ISO from your own discs and it's perfectly legal, right? That any time someone mentions emulation it in no way always implies piracy? That your post is that of someone ignorant as hell?

You're the only one that's mentioned anything related to piracy, actually.
