Theyll release a new model at some point, they always do, and I would imagine theyll beef it up where they can while still keeping it affordable, so why not. The more the merrier. Especially since they are so gung ho about digital downloads like everyone else these days.

Cant expect to put all your retail games in the eshop when I only have 32gb to work with here.

Wow, better be careful what you ask for. The Wii revision nixed BC, then then the next one nixed the internet. If anything a revision will remove features not add to them.

No, why would they need to. Digital isn't as big a deal with Nintendo, there are no mandatory installs like Xbone and PS4, and there's no services like PS+/Xbox live that push digital.

If you really need extra space you can easily find a 500 GB external drive for $50 (assuming you don't have a spare lying around).

though since the games don't require a mandatory install it's kind of moot. Plus, storage price is always in freefall so getting a 500+ GB is practically negligible.

I still don't understand the dilemma here. What exactly do people have against external hard drives?

Edit: Didn't vote. Should be an option for "Don't care"

Yes, but keep the low memory ones on the market.

So if Nintendo changed the name of the Wii - U, would they be pulling a U-Wii?

It'd likely be cheaper to just get an external hard drive. 1TB goes for about $80, and God knows I'll never be able to use that much space.
