It sounds like most overrated tech buzzword this generation. Get over it already. Besides....Nintendo only promised you 720p at minimum.

^ Haha. I wish friend codes were back. =( How cool were they, right?
I visit the Wii U board as a reminder to purchase and enthusiastically use prophylactics.

Seriously. I was perfectly fine with 480p tbh. The difference between 720p and 1080p is almost immeasurable.

Art style and 60fps trump resolution any day of the week.

People didn't buy big HDTVs for nothing, and when you're playing games on a large HDTV, you're going to notice the difference between 720p and 1080p. If you need a reason why a lot of gamers care, well, that's your reason.

The only ones who care about resolution in video games are fanboys who need something to brag about.
Not changing this sig until EA issues an apology for Madden 13

People care because they like to pretend they can see a difference.
Thing is majority of people will see NO DIFFERENCE that is unless they are playing on a 50 inch tv, and sitting like 5 feet from it then you might notice a minor improvement from 720 to 1080 if your vision is 100% perfect, outside that you won't.
