Well he would know all about irreleance, how many times has Atari filed for bankruptcy?

Also he claims 'corperate f****' ruined Atari once they smelled the money.

He's talking about portable systems and the competition from tablets and phones.

He also thinks strapping monitors to your face is the future.

Lets just say, this guy sure has all his ducks in a row.

he also said 'hand held devices don't make sense anymore...'.

Doesn't the 3DS outsell every other form of console put together?

Not reading the article but is it Alan Bushnell?

I guess he would be the authority on irrelevance.

First off, it's Nolan Bushnell, not "Alan" Bushnell.

Second, yest, it's him in the article.

Third, I was going to post your second sentence.

Eh, just his opinion. I don't think what happened to Atari can or will happen to Nintendo though.

I still find it funny how people say 12 and under are Nintendo's market and the older crowd go for MS/Sony when it's almost always the exact opposite when you look at the community for games like Pokemon and Animal Crossing and compare them to Call of Duty and Battlefield.

Then there's the saying that kids want to play the games you find on phones (rather than them just wanting a phone) when those games are usually played by adults who don't normally play games anyway.

Yeah the Atari founder would know alot about being irrelevent.
I mean how many successfull systems have they had exactly? Pretty sure only the 2600.
After that no one gave a crap about them.
