Nintendo is inefficient.

That's ridiculous, STN79. 3DS is more expensive for a visual gimmick.

Also, what makes you think that PS5 will be "$5000"? The gap between Wii U was $50.

Wait, we're only doing in-house games for this list? And only games released in North America? Allow me to edit the Nintendo list, then.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf
Game and Wario
New Super Luigi U
Pikmin 3

Only four games this year? Ouch

God of War: Ascension
The Last of Us
MLB 13: The Show
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time
Beyond: Two Souls
Gran Turismo 6
Invizimals: The Lost Kingdom
Puppeteer
Soul Sacrifice
Killzone: Mercenary
Tearaway
DriveClub
Killzone: Shadow Fall
Knack
Rain

All in-house productions of Sony~.

Such obvious bias. If something like Gran Turismo 6 counts (done by Polyphony Digital), then obviously something like Mario and Luigi Dream Team (done by Alphadream) would as well.

Presumably any game done by a company itself or any company it completely owns would count (which is clearly the criteria you used for Sony). I left out stuff like Lego City Undercover and The Wonderful 101 from my first list as Nintendo only published those, but you can include them if you want.

Polyphony Digital is literally an in-house developer. It's a part of Sony.

But several other dev teams working on games in your list aren't subsidiaries of Sony. So you're picking and choosing points to suit you're own argument, when it's more about who owns the rights to the game. If Nintendo hires an external dev to make a mario game, then its still a game thats made and produced by Nintendo. There are a ton of those games.

If we wanted to be really nitpicky we could just include games made by Nintendo EAD departments and SCE teams and that would turn the tables around quickly in favour of Nintendo.

@ Vyers

Well Sony's insistence on having the best technology suggests that one day the price of their consoles will be too much for the average consumer. When game systems start costing as much as a new PC then i think it'll have gone too far. It needs to stop somewhere or they'll be doomed by greed and parents unwilling to buy somethng that costly.

As for your 3DS gimmicky comment why do you think they are releasing the 2DS?
Just further proof that Nintendo wants to help people save a few bucks. Sony on the other hand only cares about the big pile of money they can get from brainwashed technology freaks.

TC pumping out games faster doesn't make the company more efficient if the quality of those games goes down. Quality and efficiency goes together, else you are looking for mediocrity.

They sold the Vita at a loss.

PS2 was $300, only $100 more than the GameCube with more money spent on making it.

PS4 is $400, $200 cheaper than the previous console it released and only barely more expensive than the Wii U.

Assuming that PS5 will be obscenely expensive is assuming that their pattern will be very, very different.
