How much do Nintendo games cost on the eShop?

On the 3DS Nintendo games are ridiculous prices like 39.99.

That's insane so I'm wondering how much they are on the Wii U. 49.99?

They're higher than retail on the 3DS. Much higher.

I think New Super Luigi U is the only one cheaper then retail, but the download version needs the NSMBU disk to work though where the retail is a stand alone game.
Pretty sure the rest are at MSRP, and as you can get many of the slightly older 3rd party games dirt cheap at retail if you look for deals(like for example got AC3 for $13 a few weeks back new)

For some reason the digital pricing is really weird for the EU region. Over here in the US it's the same price as physical ($60).

Pretty much retail pricing, but promotions are run (10% DDP, Pikmin+W101 30%, etc).

Nintendo games tend to hold their value, so this isn't surprising.

"Microsoft demands simultaneous multiplatform releases" - Type that into your search bar and you'll see why you should buy Rayman on Wii U, not ports.
