So is OOT just so good that it isn't even counted now?

For those who can't be bothered...

GTAIV is considered the highest rated game of all time at 98, GTAV is set to tie.

Zelda OOT isn't on the highest rated of all time list on Meta anymore, despite having a 99.

So is it just accepted now that no game will score higher? And thus they don't class it because it's just known that OOT has been the highest rated since release?

Has meta became like a PDC darts tournament, where the real winner is the guy who wins the mini competition to goto the final to lose to Phil "The Power" Taylor?

metacritic is weird. Gamerankings all the way.

Metacritic sucks and their weighted score system is inaccurate garbage. Gamerankings is much more fair when it comes to averaging game ratings.

In SA2, it's Super Sonic and Hyper Shadow.

OOT didn't age well and was more of a hardcore experience. GTA is catered more to a casual crowd, in that it is designed as a sandbox.

OoT didn't age at all.

It's just as boring now as it was back in '97.

Personal opinion. I just finished my third playthrough on the 3DS 2 days ago, not to mention the countless playthroughs of it and Majoras Mask on the N64 over all the years. The only game I've replayed more is Super Metroid and maaaaybe Chrono Trigger.

Long story short (in my opinion), OoT has aged exceptionally well and is as enjoyable to play now as it was when it came out. The added portability and updated graphics only help this.

Some mechanics of the original game aged a bit, like the text speed. But everything that aged was improved in the 3D remake.
