Been playing WW on GCN via component cables as I wait for the retail HD version.

80/80

The original game in 480p truly hasn't aged other than it being in 4:3 rather than widescreen. It still impresses me to this day. I'll still be picking up the retail HD version to see it in 1080p and with the "hotter" color palette (just to satiate my curiosity).

Other than SSBM, nothing else came close to this masterpiece on the GCN. Just sayin'.

Super Mario Sunshine
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
Metroid Prime
Resident Evil remake
F-Zero GX
Resident Evil 4

Might have missed a few. But the GC had plenty of games around that same level.

In SA2, it's Super Sonic and Hyper Shadow.

Hell, REmake doesn't even NEED an HD remaster.
They could just pop it onto a Wii U disc, sell it as is, and it would STILL look good.

It looks a bit fuzzy and blurry in some regards. And the CG backrounds could use a quality upgrade. Anyway, I wasn't mentioning games that could use an HD remaster/upgrade. I was mentioning GC games that are on the same level as WW and SSBM.

They should do more of these GCN remakes.

SSBM, F-Zero, and Metroid Prime (both games) come to mind.

All of those are sick games. I can see how anyone would put them at that same level. But, WW and SSBM are just my personal favorites from the GCN. That's what I meant.

You could probably sell your GCN and the component cables and buy a wii u with the money you made.

Sunshine is nowhere near Wind Waker.

You know the gaming industry is **** when the biggest announcement is that a console can play used games and won't totally screw you over.
