If Valve can bring the full Steam experience to living rooms, I'm worried about how the Wii U will hold up. Nintendo is going to have to step up their game with the eShop to compete. --- Breaking Hearts With Every Heartbeat
The overlap between Sony/Microsoft and Steam is why my PS3 collection is very tiny and the PS4 has nothing that appeals to me (no worthwhile exclusives announced).
Nintendo tends to have less overlap and if anything this helps differentiate Nintendo in the gaming market.
Fanboys will spin it. Not logically or reasonably but they will spin it.
The larger question is, will it succeed or will it become another Ouya (an utter failure)?
Will they continue with the mind blowing sales and deals? That could drastically change the market for the better. So that you know Nintendo and especially Microsoft and Sony can finally get up to speed on digital content. --- If history is to change, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. If my fate is to die, I must simply laugh.
It may not have Nintendo franchises to pull in the potential Wii U crowd, but the latter will most likely not witness bigger 3rd party support when their system is the odd one of the 4. --- If there was no entry in the Past of whatever I will become, Then I travelled to the Future the moment that I was gone!
