Face it, Metroid doesn't sell as much as it used to...

That is why Nintendo isn't even bothering to make one. The market is already saturated by shooters, and metroid games don't appeal to a vast market. Just let it go guys, i know i have.

Well, Iwata said there are a ton of unannounced games coming in 2014.

So, there's still hope.

You know the gaming industry is **** when the biggest announcement is that a console can play used games and won't totally screw you over.

The problem isn't FPS saturation, it's that Metroid doesn't replicate other main stream FPS's.

Throw in a good MP with customization and market the hell out of it.

Oops, misread the link as "in 2014" not "by 2014". Disregard what I said. >_<

Metroid does not sell that much, the best selling Metroid game is Metroid Prime, and it sold aprox 3 millions worldwide....

Still is my favorite Nintendo series...

Metroid has never been a series that sold a great deal. It always had a consistent fanbase that the games were aimed at though, a fanbase Nintendo could count on to buy each new version. We're only facing uncertainty about the franchise's future because Nintendo decided to alienate half of that fanbase with Other M.
