So why would 3d world not sell some systems?

Cause Mario in a Catsuit doesn't really entice teens or young adults to want to pick up the system, and most gamers are in that age range.

True. I'm a teen though.

But I mean, Galaxy had Mario in a bumblebee suit, where one of the missions was to crawl on a Queen Honeybee's itchy back...

Most gamers are actually not in that age rage. Most of them are full fledged adults -__-

In SA2, it's Super Sonic and Hyper Shadow.

I don't know about that, full aged adults usually get caught up in real life stuff and have very little time for gaming. I know they have a large part of the decision making since they are the ones with the cash, but its usually the young ones that do most of the playing.

I am 37 myself so I know we adults game, but most of the adults I know don't, yet every single teen , kid and young adult I know does.

Not the impression I get from GFAQs. Besides, how would you measure that?

You have to take into account that people actually WANTED the Wii.

Because Sunshine didn't move systems, and historically the Wii U lines up better with the Gamecube than the Wii, which is the only data that is likely predictive.

Yeah, it's Wikipedia, but there's plenty of other sources. Just do a google search. And hell, even look at this poll done on this board:
