So it's not 3D, but they're still calling it "Super Mario 3D World"?

I dunno, just something about that title doesn't make sense to me. It's obviously not going to support 3D unless there's a version of the game for 3DS, so why call it 3D World? Is this just more examples of nonsensical Nintendo nomenclature, like "Wii" and "Wii U"? May as well have called it "Mario's Woozle Wazzle" for the amount of sense the title makes.

It's...a 3D Mario game. 3D doesn't always have to mean stereoscopic 3D. -_-

But they've all been 3D (except handheld titles) since the N64... so that doesn't really wash...

Super Mario World was 2D.
Super Mario 3D World is 3D.

Similarly:

Super Mario Land was 2D
Super Mario 3D Land is 3D.(and also supports 3D display)

It'll probably support stereoscopic 3D too if you've got the TV for it.
I mean, PS360 games do, so it should be easy for a newer system like Wii U.

You think so?

Because that's the first I've heard of it, and I've looked into it a lot.

Once you're done confusing them with this one, ask someone to tell you exactly when a game becomes "AAA"... always good for a laugh. ;)

Because the game world is in 3D. Not 2D. Don't over think it.

I think I've heard this one before...

They should have called it Super Mario Cat World. :P
