I've been knocking around the idea of getting a Wii U this holiday. I had in mind to get a PS4 but missed all the pre-orders and now that Watch Dogs has been pushed back to next summer I'm just not that crazy about the system.
I've always really liked Nintendo, especially as a kid. But I barely touched the Wii and looking at the current game line-up, I'm not sure the WiiU is still worth the price.
Was it a game that hooked you? Was it the new controller? Was it the nostalgia factor? Which games are coming out that you'd consider system sellers?
Also, thinking of getting a 3ds. Link to the Past is in my top 10 list and LBW has been getting a lot of high praise lately.
I was going to buy one anyway, and when I saw the WW bundle controller, the decision was already made. Now I just sit back and wait for 2014 and the other reasons I was going to get one.

for me it was the gamepad controller and i have always been excited for what nintendo does next with their next gen controller, seeing that no other gaming company does it. also off tv play.

Gamepad controller and I like Nintendo games.
It's a cool Netflix and Hulu box.
Cause Nintendo. :)
Seriously, there is always something innovative or just plain fun on Nintendo's consoles. Since I don't have a good PC or tablet at home, the Wii U's Internet Browser and YouTube app have been great for me. I have enjoyed quite a few games like Zombi U , Lego City, Mario U, Luigi U, Sonic Racing Transformed, Darksiders 2, Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, Earthbound , Little Inferno, Toki Tori 2, and more! And the upcoming games look great!
If you can afford multiple consoles, get a Wii U; if you are not too worried about playing most AAA games it's good also to get a Wii U. I would only advice against getting a Wii U to those who have a dislike for Nintendo and its games, or if you want to be too deep in the conversation about the most hyped games like GTA, or if you are going to focus on online multiplayer games like Call of Duty, or if you are mainly interested in third party games. Otherwise, you are good to go!
Been following Nintendo since the early 80's and i'm not gonna stop now. That's why.
Also because i wanna play the latest Mario, Zelda and other first party Nintendo games.
It is artists, not technicians, who make excellent games. "Hiroshi yamauchi"
What sold me initially was off tv play and playing nintendo games in hd.
I simply just wanna play Nintendo games like Kart, Super Smash, Mario Party, Tennis, Kirby, etc.
I just buy everything.
Why wouldn't I buy a WiiU? I've been a hardcore Nintendo fan since 1991, and have fell in love with almost every franchise theyve produce. The consoles are always well built, and a good investment . Nintendo handhelds are fantastic as well. Now regarding WiiU, it's a great, modern console. The console itself is sleek and quiet, and very compact, energy efficient. The gamepad is fantastic, screen is nice and crisp, buttons have a good click to then. The only complaints I have with the gamepad, are the triggers and low rumble. The games out are fantastic, like a pikmin 3 and Wind Waker HD.
