Is the Wii U Gamepad comfortable?

you know like is it too heavy after prolonged use? I want a Wii U.

Might play in the bed but I fear for fatigue. Is it better on lap or table.

Very. It's actually pretty light despite what a lot of people thought at first sight without trying it.

As long as you don't have to use the touchscreen it is pretty comfortable.

Best way to play Wii U solo is kicking back on the couch with your head on a pillow or something, not unlike a handheld.

@ strongo

Then that's good to know! I've tried it on display at the store but since it's hooked up to a security cord it adds extra weight, which naturally gives off the impression of a heavier gameplay experience.

Was verifying :)

I had the illusion it'd be heavy before I bought it, but it's actually smaller and lighter than it appeared in pictures, so yes. It's not bad at all.

A whole lot more comfortable than you would think by looking at it. Surprisingly light too (in a good way).

@ somebody and miles

Yeah I want the upad to be and treat it kinda like a handheld. Touch screen will and arse to be getting around but other that I just want to play on a table or something.

Good good. I'm getting more confirmation on the comfortability of the upad by others here as well.

Thank you!

I was unsure of this myself, but when I actually held it, it was great!. Molded right into my hands.
