If they can't even make a next gen fighter with the amount of money they have in the bank, you know that's really bad:

Step 1: Call up Nintendo
Step 2: Nintendo funds Street Fighter V
Step 3: Win

Nintendo is so loaded

I wonder if Capcom is going to become another developer that bites the dust this generation?

Quite a few companies have not survived the switch to HD gaming and the soaring development costs. Capcom of course has other issues that have hurt them quite a bit. Could we be on the verge of seeing Capcom shut down?

It's a really high possibility at this point. If Capcom IS going under, they'll have to start selling their IPs.

Hooooly crap. As the article points out, fighting games aren't nearly as expensive as other kinds of games. If Capcom can't even afford one of those, then they're going to be in very deep trouble during the eighth gen. :-\

Had a Street Fighter signature for four years, but Crapcom doesn't deserve such recognition anymore.

Hurry! Someone call Reggie and Iwata, we can have both Megaman and Beck in our consoles if Nintendo buys out capcom!

While Capcom may not have much money in the back, lacking resources doesn't mean that they're too broke for a next-gen fighter. It could just as easily mean that all of their teams are working on other projects.

Whispers from the grape vine are that Capcom is interested in a company wide merger with another high profile Japanese developer.

Capcom can't make a next gen fighter because they exhausted resources making the same fighter 3 times each game during the 360/PS3. I'm surprised TvC didn't get the same treatment on the Wii.

Jackass Thompson doesn't approve of Wii Music. He's on a crusade to put an end to sax and violins in games

Quote is taken out of context. Resource isn't just money. It's manpower too and they're already focusing on multiple versions.
