In your opinion, is the Wii U underpowered by todays standards?

Wii U is very underpowered console. Its a lot close to PS3 and 360 which are both underpowered by today standard.

No.

Just look at Mario Kart 8, Wind Waker HD and 3D world. I think they're really pretty! C:

The original Wii was quite underpowered when it was first released. The Wii U, however, shouldn't be quite as bad, due to the graphical plateau flattening in the 7th generation. Granted, this is only taking graphics into account. As far as Processor and RAM are concerned, I think they could do better, especially in regards to RAM.

2gb of ram on wii u on ps4/xbox1 8 gb of ram

What about PS1? That thing was insanely popular and sold like crazy despite being the underpowered system of it's Gen. N64 was the powerhouse then and it wasn't nearly as successfull. It did okay and managed to survive though. Power isn't everything.

Seriously, who cares?
It has some great and fun games, period.
That is what makes a good console.

Even the Ps4 is underpowered, of course the Wii U is.

If I am allowed to place this into perspective, I'd say hardly.

The jump from current gen to next gen, is not that great when compared to the jump from 8bit to 16bit. A jump back than greatly improved graphics and sound, so yeah that was a noteworthy upgrade.

The jump that is about to be made, is rather small in my humble opinion.

What Nintendo does (and understands well in my opinion), is focus on other aspects other than graphics, they try to provide a new experience, same as you did when the jumps were made from 8 to 16, or 16 to 32 (those were significant jumps).

The best question would be, is the Wii-U still relevant with the PS4 and X1 coming up? And the awnser is yes.

To even use that amount of ram the Wii U would need more cpu

The price of the console would jump 120 dollars and even then the graphics would still be behind

with out the touch screen it would have been possible to release it as a ps4

no one is arguing that

Guess what? Xbone and PeasantStation 4 are both underpowered by today's PC standards. And they will be totally obliterated by the end of the generation.
