That long ago?!?!?! damn im old

Actually you're most likely young if you consider 6 years a long time ago.

Wouldn't mind seeing a Metroid Prime Trilogy HD remake and a Sunshine HD remake.

Only? Nintendo has done enhanced ports of games much sooner than that. Wii Sports is only 7 years old and it's already getting an HD port, by the time Galaxy 1 is re-released it would be 7 years old or more as well. Not really much difference there. Ocarina of Time was only 4 years old when it was re-released on the Gamecube, and Majora's Mask was even less than that.

The gamecube ports of OoT and MM were not enhanced. They were literally the exact same games(well, except for MQ). And they were only available as preorder bonuses or with the limited time console bundle(with the latter not having MQ). That's grasping at straws if you ask me. I mean, please don't tell me you also count the VC versions. lmao.

As for wii sports, I'll give you that.

And yeah, 6 years is hardly anything. Most remakes are at least 10+ years old. Making SMG 1/2 HD now would only make people complain about Nintendo even more(seriously, I know people that already think WW HD was taking it too far >.>).

OoT and MM on the Gamecube ran at 4 times their original resolutions. That's bigger than the difference there is between 480p and 720p. And the Master Quest mode was a far more notable gameplay addition than, well, most other enhanced ports offer. And what difference does it make if it was included as part of a preorder/packaging deal? If they port Galaxy into "HD" on the Wii U and offer them as preorder bonuses for an upcoming game, then that somehow means they don't exist? If Wind Waker HD was only available in the Wii U bundle, does that somehow invalidate it as a game?

Plus, Super Mario Bros 3. was only 4 years old or so before it was updated and package in Super Mario All Stars, and I'm pretty sure Fire Emblem was less than 5 years old when it was remade (the first time). Oh, and Pokémon Red and Blue were completely remade after 8 years. 7 years for an enhanced port of the highest rated Wii game released is hardly unreasonable.

Both Galaxy games are fine as is and definitely don't need any remakes or remasters. They still look amazing without being in HD.

But they would look MORE amazing if they were HD. Really, why wouldn't anyone want the option to play games they enjoy in a greater form?

Why can't Nintendo do both. I would be happy to buy Galaxy again and I never played Galaxy 2 now that I a Wii U I finally feel comfortable buying one. If could get confirmation of a Wii U HD remake I would gladly buy it off the e shop.

They are never going to happen because there isn't a single thing the Gamepad could be used for to enhance the experience. And replacing the Wii IR pointer with analog stick = fail.
