How long have you been a fan of Nintendo and/or it's games?

For me it's been since 1999, so... about 14 years.

I started playing their games and getting their systems from that point from 1996, so about 17 years.

I have been a fan of Nintendo since I grew up with Nintendo.

I grew up on the NES I got in 1988. I still have that NES console along with another front loader and a official top loader.

I collect NES games.

But I am not fond of the modern Nintendo. The Nintendo that refuses to acknowledge it doesn't control the game industry anymore, a Nintendo that thinks it is 1995 and it's name is going to sell systems despite being underpowered messes which the Wii U is.

I want the Nintendo I grew up with back, the one who had amazing hardware and software, the one where it was the envy of the game industry instead of the joke that it is today.

About 1988 to 2009 or so. I kind of stopped caring halfway through the Wii, a lot of that being a lack of games and a lot of that being franchises not have new entries. I'm holding out for the Wii U here, but so far they're not winning me over, and I won't be buying their next console at this rate.

Since... uhh... birth? so, 1987.

Well, that's not entirely true. I always had a NES in the household growing up but I didn't become a real fan until Donkey Kong Country on the SNES in 1994. But yes, I've always had Nintendo consoles, started with the NES. And that helps a ton for being a fan, starting with the NES and watching the video game industry evolve alongside Nintendo was truly spectacular.

Although I wish I was born sooner so I could have experienced the early arcade years with Donkey Kong. But NES is still a great starting point. Got to witness all sorts of groundbreaking moments and revolutions. The dominance of the NES era, the 16-bit wars with Sega, the glorious step into the world of 3D gaming, and the surprisingly fun era of motion controls. Been there for all of it, and loved every bit of it.
