Is Nintendo doing the right thing by allowing the Wii U to die a slow death without lots of new games? - Results (131 votes)

I think Nintendo should buy SEGA; i'm fans of both companies.

nobody here can't say for sure, there far too many factors involved that we don't know about.

though getting Sonic and SMT exclusivity in a single move would be incredible.

Why would they? Wii U already got an exclusive Sonic game and it bombed. Nobody cares about Sega anymore.

Well what would they gain?

Unless they can force Sega to start producing what made them great and make them 1st party only, there really is no point.

If they were pumping out Nights, Ristar, Golden Axe, Grandia, Skies of Arcadia, real Sonic games, Phantasy Star, Shining Force, Streets of Rage, Panzer Dragoon....I mean ANYTHING...then ya it'd be worth it.

But right now they are putting out Sonic in hopes of making a gem...and they cant do it...they dont get what the fans want.

It would be incredibly stupid for Nintendo to buy Sega considering how much Sega is worth and how little they'd get out of it. Sega has like 2 IPs that sell "great" numbers.

The PS4/Vita/3DS/XB1/WiiU each have their own exclusive games and features that makes each of them a worthwhile purchase for someone. Don't be a fanboy.

Colors and Generations were good. Yakuza and Valkyria Chronicles are both amazing. So their latest game bombed, that's the first one in awhile. Considering they were trying something new, it was kind of expected.

I made a topic not long ago asking which would be a better buy for Nintendo, sega or capcom.

Capcom won. They have more relevant and popular franchises than sega. Plus they're already in financial trouble, while sega isn't.

so next time this topic comes around in my brain, i'll add capcom and some other company to the mix.

Speaking of mixing, is Cooking Mama a good selling franchise? Majesco might be a good investment to create a ton of $5 - $10 titles.

Nintendo should merge with Sega, Capcom, Konami, and Square to form Voltron, err, Devastator, err Mega-Japanese Video Game Developer! Nintendo would be the body.

No I wish Sega got back in the game and made a Dreamcast 2 with Shenmue 3 being one of the release titles.
