Is ZombiU worth $14.99

Seen Best Buy has it on sale. I tried the demo, but didn't come across any zombies in the first few minutes, so gave up to be honest. I've heard mixed reviews, but I'm wondering if at that price it is worth it.

thanks

Absolutely. It's a great survival horror game. There's a little jank here and there, but it's a totally unique experience and I wish it was getting a sequel.

Yes. But with the mentality present on your second sentence, I'd stay away from the game if I were you.

It's not a "kill a horde of zombies" game. It's a "survive the zombie appocalypse" game.

The game itself was pretty good, but the melee system was pretty poorly implemented, and given that in many circumstances using your (one and only) melee weapon is the best course of action.

Aside from the melee combat, the game itself will have you on your toes and is quite challenging. It'll definitely get your heart pumping.

For me, I'll pick up the game and play it for an hour, progress a bit further, and put it down for a week or so because it's a stressful game (not in a bad way at that, just intense.)

I admit, I didn't give it a fair shake. However, I just got my Wii U two days ago with Mario Wii U, Mario 3D world, Sonic Racing and NES Remix, so I've been playing those a lot. I appreciate the responses. Sounds, like it is worth giving it more time.

It is definitely worth $15. As someone else said, this isn't a Left 4 Dead type game where you are going to be gunning down hordes of zombies. In this game, even 2 or 3 zombies are a very real threat.

Absolutely! That said, if you're looking for Left 4 Dead or CoC Zombies, look elsewhere. This games a real survival horror with a big emphasis on survival.

$15, yeah I'd say so... Full price though? Nah.

Awesome idea but the execution just didn't do it for me. If they were doing the perma-death thing I'd rather have that in more of an arcade type shooter situation. The way this is set up as a true survival horror game I would have rather grown attached to my character(s).

I always tell people that my biggest problem with the game is a lack of explanation. While I don't want my hand held, it would be nice to know about some things before being thrown in with them. For instance, until you actually try it yourself, at no point does the game make it apparent that a zombie wearing a scuba tank will explode and kill you if you slap it in the head with a wooden stick. I mean... why would you even think that to be the case?
