When the XB1 stops selling, will it lose 3rd party support like the Wii U?

It will not have the same support as PS4 but will have most AAA third party games. Where Xbone's library will be lacking is indie, and some PC ports as PS4 is far easier to develop for.

There is the chance that PS4 gets AAA third party exclusive(s) though down the line. It's ease of development, more power, and likely significantly higher userbase could result in some big exclusives.

Microsoft will just pay for games unlike Nintendo.

XB1 will not stop selling. Microsoft is one if those companies that would eventually lower the price of the console to 50 cents if they had to, just to come in "first" and pretend they won some imaginary prize.

You sound ridiculous.
Xbox #1 is selling great and has AAA 1st party games on the way and tons of respectable 3rd party support. Microsoft didn't do any of the things you claim with Xbox Original or 360. Xbox360 still has dozens of upcoming titles, including Alien: Isolation just announced today.

You're welcome.

Not anytime soon. Their are hundreds of projects in the channel for the Xbone, while some of them would be canceled not all of them would.

PC, PS4, and X1 are going to share the multiplatform titles. X1 ensures getting third party support just by having enough hardware power to not have to go out of the way to modify the game substantially and a customer base that actually buys the games.

As long as XBox has the money to get 3rd party exclusives. No it would not be like the Wii U at all, plus easier to code for XB1/PS4.

How many XB1 exclusives will be out this year? All I count is Quantum Break and Halo.

The XB1 sold standard launch winter numbers, the same as the Wii U in fact. That's not selling great, that's predictable launch hype.

You know what's hilarious about threads like these? It's the fact that there's no plausible way for anybody to argue that the PS4 is going to stop selling to the extent that it's future will be in question, so folks are now gunning and hoping for the failure of the runner up XBOne just to essentially save a little face for the Wii U.

Come on people, XBOne will most likely be in 2nd place but at the rate it's been selling, it's running circles around the Wii U. Also, the first year content coming out for it is actually more impressive than the PS4, so for the future of XBOne to be questioned in threads such as this one is just completely moronic.

Look, the Wii U is basically a no go. Nintendo knows that and there is no doubt that Nintendo is scrambling on working and planning for their next home console. Just let the thing go peacefully for however short of a cycle it has left.

Titanfall. Also, before you try to argue that it's available for PC and 360, Titanfall is going to sell many times better on the XBOne than on the PC and the 360, that's just the way the games market works. Also, Titanfall is going to be extremely questionable on the 360 seeing how they've outsourced the work of development on that version to a completely different team.

So that's 3 huge exclusives ON TOP of the AAA multiplats coming out. Also, the XBOne did not sell standard launch winter numbers. The Wii U sold well for literally 2 weeks and then that was it, it was a trickle after that. The XBOne sold a million a week for 2 weeks and then a few hundred a week following that and the momentum is continuing. It's only 1 million behind the PS4. There no plausible way you can argue that the XBOne is doing what the Wii U was doing because the bottom line is that the momentum for the Wii U literally lasted about 2 weeks and then the thing just completely stopped. What this indicates is that the adoption was basically from Nintendo core. There's obviously going to be at least 3 million Nintendo cores willing to buy the Wii U from the get go.

I mean for goodness sakes, think about the following: Is there actually and XBox core or is that audience just normal non-fanatics that plays a bunch of CoD and Madden and Fifa? It's going to be the latter not the former. Nintendo core however are a very specific demographic and it's a small demographic at that. That is the fundamental reason the XBOne has been and is going to maintain sales momentum for a good while into the spring and then get a bump from Titanfall. The Wii U however never had that momentum because such a laypeople audience does not exist for it. You honestly thing the Wii sold so well because of Mario? Because it didn't. If it did, Zelda and Galaxy would have sold numbers of copies far exceeding how the mainline Zelda and Mario games did on the Gamecube and N64.
