Noisy?

So I finally picked up a Wii U - the Zelda bundle - and it's really noisy. Once the disc drive and fan kicks it's really noticeable. I don't want to have to download all my games for a quiet console. If my PS3 is a 1 in the sound department, the Wii U is an easy 4 or 5. I exchanged it for a new one, but same thing.

How loud is your console? Any tips?

I can barely hear my console.

I'd really like to hear a recording of one of these.

Faulty twice in a row? I don't think so. It's noisy with a disc, silent without.

Do you have it sitting on some hollow piece of wood that is maybe amplifying the noise?
Only guess as mines extremely quiet

My wii u is pretty much silent. I've never noticed it making noise at all, except maybe when it first turns on and the disc spins up (if there's one in).

Maybe the sound is coming from rattling glass on an entertainment center. Or maybe his entertainment center is vibrating and acting as a amplifier of the noise.

'Cause the wii u is very quiet.

Most all nintendo disc consoles have been quieter than my pc. It's either on something that's amplifying the noise somehow, or you have a problem with the console.
Every console has a game worth playing to me, like for example, the Xbox 360 has Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts.
