They couldn't even save Rare(ware), what makes you think they can do so with Capcom?

Microsoft pretty much forced Nintendo to sell their 49% steak in Rare.

It isn't Nintendo's responsibility to save other companies from going under if they're in financial trouble.

you think Nintendo wants a stake in the REmovie franchise and designers modeling clothes?

If anything Capcom needs to sell their IP's to them pronto

Why buy the whole company when you can wait till they die and buy the best of their catalog on the cheap?

They buy Monolith and Rare so why not these companies?

And a Nintendo console would literally be the worst possible place for SNK.

All the money that capcom made on monster hunter 4, they stupidly spend on mobile gaming!

Yeah, no one makes hundreds of millions off phone games.

Yes, but this is capcom we're talking about. They have some of the best IPs next to nintendo themselves. Plus nintendo knows that they aren't getting third party support any time soon. Adding capcom's IPs to their own would be a huge incentive for anyone to buy their systems.

This would be fine as long as the acquisition included the development teams too. It wouldn't do nintendo any good to have a bunch of IPs with no one to make them.

If any company ends up owning Capcom, it's either going to be Bandai-Namco or Bethesda.

Meaning we won't see any of their games outside Japan. Nice.
