How Do Wii Games Look On Wii U?

Thinking about buying a Zelda bundle Wii U.

But I am curious what Wii games look like on Wii U.

I have been playing my Wii games with component cables at 480P, but I wonder if there is any upscaling involved with the Wii U playing Wii games via the HDMI cable.

Don't get me wrong, I know this is a Nintendo system, and I am pretty sure it's not gonna output anything more than 480P on a Wii game, but figured it's worth asking. My TV doesn't display anything higher than 720P anyway, so I'm set for when Tropical Freeze comes out.

The WiiU will upscale the Wii video to whatever your WiiU system resolution is set to. It does a pretty good job of this... quite a bit better than the scaling that would be performed on my 1080p television from a 480p source.

terrible, pixalated and for some reason really damn bright

this is the reason I still keep a wii beside the tv while the wii u gathers dust
Is Metroid's gun part of his armor or is he a cyborg like Data from Star wars?

Thanks. Will probably use my Wii U to play Wii games, and keep my Wii hooked up to play Game Cube games.

Some games look absolutely atrocious (Skyward Sword) and others look great (SSBB)
