Why do we accept excuses from 3rd. party companies?

Sony learned and matured from these mistakes. They adapted to a changing market and development culture. Nintendo hasn't and is only now learning the same lessons that the other consoles have had 8 years to figure out.

I still think Nintendo's doing a great job, my only problem with the wii was that it came out so quick after the the gamecube

with the wii U it was almost late but the advance in technology and all the stuff they did helped out a lot to keep it as a classical game system thats affordable and *new*

That's why it's having a tough time competing with ps3 and x360, those systems have a library now and people actually want to buy them

We don't and neither does Nintendo, third partys can go to hell!

Consumers are not "entitled" for wanting better games from third-party developers. It's a want, a desire, not a thing that fans are lobbying Congress for or something.

Game producers are allowed to make a business decision about ports; if it seems like the port won't sell enough copies to be worth it, it makes sense for them not to make it.

Now that we're out of the way, the issue is whether or not WiiU owners will en masse buy an awesome third-party experience on the WiiU. Let's extrapolate based on sales from the original Wii. Did Red Steel 2 do well? Did Sonic Colors do well? Did Little King's Story do well? By looking at the sales of games like those (of varying goodness), we can tell in part if third parties might be missing a chance to make some money on the Wii with a legit port.

I'm also going to be WAY interested to see how Watch.Dogs does on the WiiU.
