-No Gamepad
-1 Pro Controller
-Installed or Disc Smash Bros.

I just cant see people spending $350 to play Smash Bros and that is without the Pro Controller which will be the popular controller for Smash Bros. Considering Nintendo charges $185 to replace a broken gamepad, dropping it for at least one bundle would be a good move.

I'd be all over that deal in a second. Hell, I'd even do it at 250.

Nintendo would lose tons of money if they did that.
My sig will never happen, but it would be awesome if it did.

Nintendo is losing money on the Wii U already. A further price cut and throwing in extra crap is a surefire way to lose even more cash.

wow and it would be SO difficult to update the firmware to not require it...

Hell, you can basically do that now. Turn on the Wii U, and as it is turning on, you turn off the gamepad. Voila! WIi U without the gamepad. Of course a few things dont work (Like the eshop)....but I'm sure they could, you know, make the shop work with a controller lol.

That is incorrect, I can operate my Wii U without the gamepad, certain features like the Web Browser and Eshop can be easily fixed in an update.

When I had to send in my Gamepad for a repair, I didnt skip a beat.
