Definitely yes. There are many awesome games that were on the Wii and it would be a crime to miss out on some of them.

yeah, but it's not worth it for anything else. think about that before you blow 350 dollars on it.

Get a Wii Mini if they're still in stock.

The Wii U has to boot into a Wii mode and other annoying stuff to work as a Wii. Why not just get a Wii?

That depends on whether or not you're interested in Wii U games. If not, it's much cheaper to go the "used Wii" route. Bear in mind that the eShop & virtual console are also fully functional on the Wii, with a greater selection.

Yes. From one phoenix to another you missed out on a lot of great games. Grab a Wii U to catch up on the Wii's library as well as the Wii U's. Just be prepared for Xenoblade to suck away your life.

The only potential downside is that the Wii Mini, Wii U and Wii Revision 2 don't have the ability to use Gamecube controllers or Memory card ports.

It's not an issue as a whole, but some games might be better for that. If you don't care though, the Wii U is absolutely fine to use for that purpose.

Actually you can buy a gamecube controller adapter for the Wii U.

You're behind in your trolling. The Wii U's price dropped like 3 months ago. Get up to speed.

Definitely yes. I use my Wii U to play Wii games too and I missed out a lot on the Wii.
