Ok I've asked this before but..

original answers I got either were BS or people just did not know what they were talking about.

so when watching Netflix, Id like to turn off the game pad display, but problem is when I do so, I have NO way of closing out of the settings menu without having the pad on.

So how do I do so? Its pointless to have the game pad on when watching a movie...

Can't you just hold the power on the gamepad for like ten seconds. You have to hold it past the fade out or the console will go too. Does that not work on Netflix?

Because you can turn the screen off when you use other control devices to play games. The problem is with the Netflix software, not the Wii U.
