Gonna have to go with Desert. I feel like I have to force myself to complete them. Plus they usually have the worst music.

Hate water levels.
Hate them.

Most of the time, they completely change the controls of a game. You get used to great platforming controls, then bam, you get thrown into water and got new controls to get used to.

And how bout that Water Temple?

I actually like water levels. They have nice music and can be very creative. The only water level I hate is OOT's Water Temple. Main reason I stopped playing OOT3D.

Knew it. Yeah, I don't like water levels, cuz that's where you usually have a limited amount of time to get something done, and you can't really explore if you have limited time. Well, it's not always water (like outside in Metro: Last Light), but yeah.

There's no such thing as a "worst" level. It all just depends on how it's done.

Lava levels start to all look the same after a while, there's just not enough there to work with.

Fortress/Castle. If only based off the New Super Mario Bros. series.

The DS one was great.
The ones in 2 were a bit better (never played the Wii one).

Then I played the U one to hear it's the exact same music with the exact same boss material (Koopaling) with the exact same generic battle music with the exact same victory music with that annoying "Oh yea! Mario Time!" that feels so cringe-worthy and anticlimactic now to where not even Johnny Test is that bad.

Do not get me near the Wii one. lol or I might want to just rid the game into two. Not even Mario Party was this bland when it came to reusing things to where it had more differences between each than the New Super Mario Bros. series has had in it's lifetime.

I went with desert levels. Something about them just annoys me, maybe it's the dryness.

Just cover the light with black electrical tape. If there is no light coming from the unit then it doesn't use any power, problem solved. - Cattus99

Desert levels are so freakin' terrible. They're always so bland.
