It's official Nintendo PR sent to the press by Nintendo themselves. No one is sourcing Neogaf lol.

Gamespot messed up. It's that simple.

Two sites who claim they got their info from Nintendo PR. Unfortunately, Nintendoeverything likes to site Neogaf as their source, too.

^Sourcing a Neogaf member. How do we know the PR response wasn't lifted from the same source?

Official Nintendo PR. That's where the 180% number comes from, and Gamespot messed up by claiming hardware instead of software. The end. This isn't some kind of conspiracy.

Looks like Donkey Kong was a successful system seller after all. Eat it, Metroid fans.

The fantrolls think everything is a "conspiracy" now. They claim none of this matters if people are having fun, so why are they so hurt that people are having fun on everything but the Wii U? Because they are hypocrites, that's why.

I didn't say it was. How are you so certain Gamespot got it wrong? That's what I'm asking you.

The other topic says NPD has Wii u at 85k~, which NPD is correct?

We don't know for sure until Nintendo gives us the number.

Why are you resorting to insults? You made a claim that did not fully discredit Gamespot.

Where did I insult you? You just keep asking the same question over and over, after I've already explained the issue as clearly as possible. I'll try again:

Nintendo issues mass PR email to everyone. It says software increased 180% from February 2013.

Gamespot gets email, misreads, posts faulty information.

That's it. There is no room for discussion. Any neogaf claims are irrelevant to this discussion, the 82k number is irrelevant. The PR comes straight from Nintendo and is not made up by some forum poster as you seem to imply.

All that happened was Gamespot misreading a PR email.

The. End.

You claimed I was playing dumb for not accepting your response. How is that not an insult? How would you know if Gamespot misread the PR? Do you work for them or what?

If you hate being questioned that much, then perhaps forums aren't for you.

How would I know? By reading. Ever done that before? Ever stop and think "why is Gamespot the only website on the planet reporting it like this?"

Come on. It's clear by now you are just here to push inaccurate Wii U sales information.

And if that came off as an insult to you, perhaps these forums aren't for you.
