With the constant back and forth going on all over the net when talking about Wii U, it seems being a gamer has become less about playing games and more about politics, sales, statistics, specs, and other things that aren't playing the games. Let's take it back to basics and start actually talking about the games.

The previous game was SiNG PARTY.

The game this time is New Super Mario Bros. U.

Have you played it? What do you think about it? Personally, I have and despite it not having online, its easily my favorite New Super Mario Bros game and one of my favorite Mario games I played in years. It feels like they took the NSMB formula and combined it with Super Mario World and Super Mario Bros. 3, 2 games I loved. Feel free to leave your thoughts about this game here and discuss.

This. I really hope this is the last NSMB game though, I think this series has ran its course, time to move on Nintendo..

More or less my feelings. l'm willing to admit though, l got a fair amount of mileage out of challenge mode. That was the most fun l've had in an NSMB since Mario vs. Luigi.

I liked it, it was a solid platformer and had a lot of fun and challenging levels. The challenges and speedrun stages were icing on the cake. The boost challenges were a great use of multiplayer and the gamepad.

It's a great game and challenge mode is as innovative as the series can be. A lot of people overlooked it and then had fun with NES Remix. Go figure.

A mix between the 1st and 2nd option. The challenges were challenging enough even if the main game did feel like it could have been harder. Probably would enjoy it even more with multiplayer, but I played through the whole thing alone. It's only my 2nd New Super Mario Bros game so as much as they've been churning out games for the series, it does feel significantly better than the first one on DS which was still fun.

Felt it was a bit below average and I was disappointed you couldn't take Yoshi outside the levels. The reused artwork from the Wii game was a bit irking too. For once, however, I loved the athletic theme which reminded me of Yoshi's Island which shows me that as long as you change the music, you can still have the same level tropes since it will lessen that "deja vu" feel. It would have been nice if all the level tropes actually had different music because hearing the exact same boss music within the exact same tower music with the exact same clear music for three games in a row is annoying as heck.

I also liked how you actually fought Bowser during the final level. Some of the new enemies were cool like one that goes from block to block and if you hit it, you get coins for it.
