Is anybody worried about the lack of Pokemon announcements?

It looks like the Pokemon Company just doesn't trust the Wii U enough.

They co-own the Pokemon franchise and they work together to publish games on their systems.

There are more than forty pokemon spinoffs, including handheld games.

They are not sparse in nature. There were tons on the GBC, N64, GBA and DS.

Pokemon Rumble U.

Other than that there is a rumored "Phantom Gate" game. It was trademarked by Nintendo, Creatures Inc., and Game Freak, February 12th this year.

Other than that if you mean full fledged RPG like the handhelds, well it's never happening.

Edit: Forgot to put the source: http://www.nowgamer.com/news/2278519/pokemon_game_phantom_gate_in_development.html

In comparison to releases yes they are and that's also when you consider how many generations they have been on, the decline in spin offs, etc.

I'm not even talking about that. I'm talking about series that happened in the past on consoles like stadium or colosseum.

Phantom Gate then. It's speculated to be either a Mystery Dungeon Gates of Infinity like game. Then there is Pokken Fighters (http://www.shacknews.com/article/80743/pokken-fighters-trademarked-by-the-pokemon-company) and Poketouch (http://nintendoeverything.com/tag/poketouch/)

As for Coliseum or Stadium like game Pokken Fighters appears to be closest to what you are seeking. Supposedly a Pokemon style fighter. If it ever comes out or if more info is ever revealed.
