Nintendo and the Gamepad

Why has nintendo been seemingly avoiding conferences or doing anything to hype up the wii u (no big e3 presentation, gamescon, directs etc). Also, while the wii u does have some great games, none of them utilize the gamepad. It is kinda a side activity. Even Miyamoto-sama stated he sees the gamepad as just another controller. It would be cool if it was used for puzzles or something.

They aren't avoiding them though, also for the gamepad to truly be utilized requires a game to have concepts that work, same with other similar concepts.

Zelda would work, other concepts would work by say having any future platform games use the sexcond screen as hidden areas, others can use it for the basic Map/Inventory and add a scanner feature. Mech games could utilize the gamepad too. It just depends on Genres,.
