Nobody in this topic, not even myself has acted as if 60 fps was necessary.

Sonic racing has online. I do not have the game so I don't know if the online community is still active, but I'm sure it is.

Ah, Double Plus! hahaha...

Anyways I'm sure there's going to be little to no concern on Mario Kart. It's always been a fun game to play, and I'm sure that any complaints will no doubt come from the Retro stage selection. There will always be one person who's favorite stage didn't make the cut.
If people want the Wii U Cheaper, and the cost of the White model is already the price of the 3DS XL, are they saying they want it the same price as a 3DS?

True. I'm not fond of retro stages myself. Especially the SNES stages since I don't think they've aged well. But the retro stages that were shown off in the koopalings trailer all look great and I think a few of them even have the gravity mechanic. Looking forward to playing on Tick Tock Clock again.

Don't know about anyone else, but I could cope if they made a sacrifice and cut the framerate to 45 f/ps in MP if it meant that it was stable, no stuttering or drops. I'd rather a consistent 45 than having it at 60 but with frequent dips down into the upper 40s.

60 fps is pretty necessary for racing games where timing is everything.

I would think that lag and the prevention of lag would be more paramount for the multiplayer aspect of the game.

It would be great if split screen online stays at 60fps with at least two people. MKWii split screen online drops the framerate pretty badly.
