Its a blast to play through my favorite Wii titles again. Also, I can expand my library since Wii games are a dime a dozen these days.

Just got Red Steel 2. All hail BC!
My sig will never happen, but it would be awesome if it did.

Figures how a positive topic like this sinks to the bottom.

Been that way for almost two years now. You should have complained about the virtual console or the OS.

Backwards compatibility is a great feature. Sure, you don't buy a new console to play old games. But when you missed out on the past console, it really shines. It's also why I, considering getting a ps3 instead of a ps4 anytime soon...

Bought Metroid Prime Trilogy few days ago

An already perfect series made even better with the Wiimote. I'm seriously in heaven every time I play it

You got to somehow make trolls angry with your post, that way they will swarm and this topic will go somewhere, otherwise positive topics get nowhere fast.

I generally keep my older consoles either plugged in, or in close proximity to the TV to be plugged back in in the event that I decide to play an older game so...

Backwards Comparability has never been anything more than a slight convenience for me.
Each person might see a rose with a different shade of red, but the fact that we can all agree on is beauty -- that is a miracle.

If it weren't for backwards compatibility, I probably wouldn't own a Wii U yet.
If it were for backwards compatibility, I'd probably own a PS4 by now.
