Got $7 on the eShop, and a buck on my tax card.

Kirby Super Star, Dream Course, or 3?

Definitely Super Star. 3 is really good too, though. Never played Dream Course.

Get Super Star, because you get more for the money you spend.

Kirby 3 is decent, but levels are insanely long and the gameplay itself is slow-paced.

Dream Course... I wouldn't bother unless you're into sports games.

I'll stick with Super Star, then.

Gonna get a $20 card for Golden Sun and Warioware next month. :)

Grabbed Supa Star!

How does multiplayer work, if it works? Wiimote with a controller attached and the gamepad?

It tells you on the eShop which controllers work for which games. When you select a game and view it's profile, scroll down to the "Compatible Features/Accessories" section and tap View. It tells you what controllers you can use.

In Kirby Super Star's case:

* Wii U Game Pad
* Wii U Pro Controller
* Wii Remote + Classic Controller Pro

Note that Classic Controller Pro also refers to the standard Classic Controller, since they have the same buttons, just in a different placement.

All Wii U VC games can be used with the same controllers, though SNES VC games require you to hold something (I forget what) to boot them up with just a Wii Remote, and you may run into possible issues due to not having enough buttons with some games.

In Kirby Super Star, if I recall correctly after Kirby copies an ability, Player 1 can press A and summon a helper from the ability he copied. Afterwards, Player 2 can control the partner.
