If Smash Bros. Melee is able to be played on the Wii U, I will be able to play ALL four Smash games (aside from SSB3DS). Melee on the Wii U Virtual Console, SSB64 on the Wii Menu, if bought already, Brawl on the Wii Menu and SSB4 on the Wii U.

I don't know about you but that would be absolutely fantastic.

Meh at least the normal Wii can already do the first 3.

The Wii U has to desperately require the Wii's help to play any of them at this point, and Melee should have already been playable via Wii mode for Wii U. Yet for some bizarre reason they won't let us use the GC mode anymore (even if hackers proved that the emulator still exist within wii mode via homebrew...)

glad retrocompatibility is still important for some gamers

but it's not happening on this level
