HD graphics

A selling point of the WiiU is that it is the only place to play Nintendo games at 1080p (although there aren't many of them). Off screen play is another feature but then you lose the HD.
I'm thinking that they should have given this more thought.

I'm thinking that you're overthinking it. Do you want the system to cost $50-100 more for a higher quality HD screen on the pad? I've been playing exclusively with the off screen options and I have no issues whatsoever with how the games look. If someone does have an issue, then the problem isn't with Nintendo.

According to my workplace, you can threaten managers with a box cutter and keep your job. WTH is wrong with this company?!

I would imagine the WiiU's capacity to display games smoothly in 1080p is a bigger factor in the price than a low resolution screen on the controller. My point is by using the later you lose the former

arent there only like 1-2 nintendo games at 1080p right now?

If you care that much about it, then that's your problem. Other people can play and enjoy the games just fine without worrying what the resolution is.

If you're expecting the other consoles to give you 1080p you'll be sorely disappointed.

You have to wonder why so many have decided to switch up to HD TVs in the last few years rather than just stay with their old SD TV if picture quality is such a none issue.

All I have to say is that all three systems have AMAZING graphics. Couldn't care less whether a game is in "1080p" or not. Maybe go back and play some N64 games to gain some perspective.
