Nintendo will have to do the impossible to rescue the Wii U. They are more focused on what sales though: the 3DS.

Honestly, they need to upgrade their franchises.

5. Do Super Smash Bros every two years instead of once every system.

This is the only one I don't really agree with. Development for SSB4 started either Q1 or Q2 of 2012. So the dev cycle is more than 2 years. Plus Smash Bros won't be as big of a system seller if it comes out too often. Instead, they could have a 64 or Melee remake. Still, I think they should keep that in their back pocket. I think it'd be better if they just have a new game ready as a launch title for their next system.

Rare, you will be missed.

The Gamecube only sold around 22 million units during its lifespan. The Wii U will almost certainly surpass it. Might not hit the N64 sales figure of approximately 33 million, but it very well could.

Why would you assume this? The WiiU undersold the GC by the same point in it's lifespan, doesn't have nearly the same amount of third party support, and is in competition not only with two systems already on the way to(or already) outpacing it despite the years head start, but also with mobile gaming(which wasn't a thing really in the GC era)..

Now again, besides wishful thinking(Im not going to resort to call you a fanboy, seems unwarranted) why do you honestly believe that it will?

Mario Kart and especially Smash will move consoles. More people also buy video games now than in the early 2000s.

I don't even like Super Smash Brothers as a series, but the game will sell well. If Nintendo didn't get desperate with the 3DS release to guarantee more software sales, it could have potentially moved a lot of Wii Us.

25 million is what I expect. It's just an estimate and I could very well be wrong, but I honestly don't think it will sell less than the Gamecube.

Journalists have been real bitter as of late towards Nintendo. I mean financially, Sony is doing just as bad, but nobody says anything about Sony because the PS4 sold a lot.

Sony has been doing poorly as a company for a while now. Its old news. The Wii U doing poorly is current news. Its that simple.
