Aren't people kind of... crazy about Smash Bros? The series has like a fanatical following, with people going ape-poop over every little detail that Sakurai reveals. I think it will provide plenty of Wii U sales.

Most likely they will shift focus to their next system because Nintendo doesn't like throwing millions down the drain on game development that makes no profit.

Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. both have fanatical followings. Those two games should easily push the Wii U over the 10 million unit mark.
