Well, this is...unexpected.

I wonder if I will buy it...i doubt it, but you never know. If it's good (and by good, I mean "has enough unique titles I'd like to buy it", not "is powerful and sells well") or cheap, I might. But it still doubt it.

***EDIT***
You know, now that I think about it...would a 3DS TV be possible? Something like the Vita TV? If not, I imagine their system will be DD-only.

And as for the people saying, GG Wii U and proclaiming this the end, remember that this is, so-far, only for emerging markets, and that Iwata flat out stated Nintendo won't release a successor until they can end the Wii U on a high note (probably trying to avoid a Saturn scenario, which was pretty much abandoned by Sega...and actually was quite literally discontinued by Sega in Europe, well before the Dreamcast's release).

As long as this means we get some games, I'm happy.

Thanks Transdude.

side note/side comment: just yesterday, I was thinking of the next gen 3DS to be a portable Wii U that has full 3DS phys/digi b/c and all digital Wii U library.. but I expected such for 2017 :P

Wonder what kind of console they'll make.

The new console will supposedly use small Nintendo character figurines to transfer data, like Skylanders. Maybe the $100 million mystery purchase that Nintendo just made, was the Skylanders patent or something similar?

If so, massive lol

Well, they did buy part of Nico Nico (the otaku version of YouTube), and it was announced today that Nintendo will be exploring other forms of entertainment, so who knows.
